- διχοστατέω
- διχοστατέω 1 aor. ἐδιχοστάτησα (s. prec. and next entry; Trag.+).① to adopt a factious position (opp. of being in harmony), disagree γῆ μὴ διχοστατοῦσα without dissent, in harmony 1 Cl 20:4. Context suggests that this is the place also for Hs 8, 7, 2; 8, 8, 5.② to be divided within oneself, feel doubts, be insecure (Alex. Aphr., Probl., Praef.) Hs 8, 7, 2; 8, 8, 5. But both of these passages may belong in 1 above.
